Vespene
Vespene is a world of beauty
and abundant natural resources. They have vast jungles and tremendously
long ranges of mountains. The main city of Vespene, Taj, is a work of
art in itself.

Many enjoy Vespene because of it's peaceful climate - both meterological and political. Vespene very rarely takes part in the wars that plague most of the other Great Houses. It's residents are, by nature, mild and tranquil. There is a warmth and acceptance here that is very much lacking in many other places.
Vespene also has the strange distinction of having hosted another civlization. Some say it was the Protectorate, others claim more unlikely but also deceased races. Regardless, Vespene does have many hidden caches of ancient relics. Some are more useful than others, but all are fascinating. One of the most famous is the Protectorate Tubeway -- suposedly the nexus an ancient and huge transportation system that spans not only the globe, but the galaxy as well. Very little of this center has actually been explored, due to the uncertain nature of the equipment. (Many people have taken a ride on the tubeway and never returned.)
Mirroring the tranquil nature of the population and the planet, the House of Vespene is nearly always the quietest delegation in Fallstaff gatherings. If they speak at all, it is to urge caution, forbearance, and most of all, peace.
The House controls a very prosperous business: Automated Warp Cargo Containers (AWCC), the backbone of most production industries in the galaxy. Though other companies have developed and sell AWCC systems, it is widely recognized the Vespene variety are much superior in design and function. The house also maintains it's link to the galaxy-spanning Way in good order. The AWCC containers that Vespene produces can also be coupled to WayCarriers, and in fact, Vespene maintains another very profitable side venture: Way transport and shipping. Due to their peaceful nature, Vespene House has many right-of-way contracts with other houses and entities, making them one of the largest WayTransport companies in the galaxy.
